About
Sunrise Australia supports networks of people, communities and organisations to work together to accelerate the shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy in line with pathways required to limit warming to 1.5°C.
Our Story
Sunrise began in 2012, at the height of a major coal and gas expansion in Australia. Even while the public was demanding stronger climate action, the coal and gas export industry was expanding at breakneck speed. Sunrise set out to change that.
Who We Are
We're strategists, researchers, organisers, and advocates who know what it takes to shift how decisions get made. We believe in making the impossible possible, and have a track record of doing just that.
